Drone Marketing for Lake Keowee Properties

Use aerial views to explain the setting without implying rights or views the home does not provide.

Aerial images can help explain a Lake Keowee property’s relationship to the shoreline, road and surrounding homes. They are one tool in a property-specific media plan, not a requirement for every listing or proof of a higher sale price. Agree what the images need to show and whether the proposed flight can be carried out lawfully and safely.

Build a Useful Shot List

Connect each image to a buyer’s question.

House, dock and route

Show how the house connects to any documented dock or launch arrangement. Pair the aerial overview with ground-level views of the actual walking route so elevation does not conceal steps or slope.

Setting and orientation

Use views that explain the cove, nearby buildings and road approach. Identify the camera viewpoint where needed. A high aerial view is not the same view a buyer will have from the porch or a future building floor.

Property boundaries

Do not infer acreage or exact boundaries from a photograph. Any illustrated outline should be clearly identified as approximate and based on appropriate records, with survey questions kept separate. Complete media planning.

Confirm Flight and Usage Arrangements

A good image still needs a proper production process.

Operator and flight requirements

Use an operator who can demonstrate the qualifications and permissions applicable to the flight. The FAA provides Part 107 guidance for business operations; the operator must evaluate airspace, people, weather and any other requirements for the proposed shoot.

Permissions and licensing

Confirm property access, takeoff arrangements and the photographer’s written usage license. Specify website, listing, social and advertising use, duration, editing and transfer rights. Receiving a photo file alone does not establish those rights.

Accurate publication

Review final images for misleading edits, labels or implied amenities. Distinguish an actual view from an illustrative rendering. Publish only through the channels and scope agreed in the marketing plan. Listing plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions buyers and sellers ask David first.

Is a drone shoot mandatory for a waterfront listing?

No. Choose media that answers the property's actual presentation needs, subject to feasible and authorized production.

Does an aerial image establish a lot boundary or dock right?

No. Verify boundaries and shoreline authorization through their own records. An image is context, not a survey or permit.

What should the photographer agreement cover?

The planned shot list, deliverables, access, operator responsibilities and written rights for each intended use and publication channel.
